Share your love of gardening with your own sprout. Our Junior Gardener program registration is now open for your young ones, ages 4-10. It consists of 3 Saturday morning sessions from 10-11am, starting April 21st. We guarantee there will be soil flying, plant and growing instruction and tons of giggles.
Dates are April 21st, May 12th and June 2nd. Cost $7/child. All we ask is that the parents remain on site during the class, and call 326-1015 to register.
Our ever-popular Pot Parties are back starting April 12th. We love to share in the creative process with you as you design and plant your front-door containers. Bring all of your girlfriends or co-workers- make it a staff party, or just a “girls night out”! We also love to host bridal showers and birthday parties. Bring your own pot and pay only for the plant material that you pot up. This year we are also offering our ladies the “Pot Party Special” in the cafe. Wash up and enjoy something sweet with a delicious cup of dark roast coffee or your favorite tea. Call 326-1015 to reserve your date and time…
Check out the progress that can be made in ONE week! We’re well on our way and enjoying every minute! If you haven’t started seeding yet…now’s the time.

Red Moon Road joined us last year at this time and we are thrilled to have them back. The Winnipeg-based band is inspired by the lake, campfires, outdoor living and kitchen jam parties. Red Moon Road is a down-home, accoustic folk and roots band with the right mix of East coast and country charm. They are releasing their debut album this weekend at the West End Cultural Center and we can’t wait to hear some of their new tunes here at Oakridge March 31st. Get your tickets now, or call 326-1015 to reserve your seats! It’s always a great time, come on out!
Our new spring displays have been so fun to put together. After the dreariness of January and February, it certainly gets our juices flowing. Bring spring into your own home by putting together a container of spring flowers or a wreath. Add your own personal touches and get creative using burlap or birch, moss and twigs. We love the natural look and it’s amazing what you can pull together with a little inspiration.
It is officially March and we are so excited around here. We are already spring cleaning in anticipation of the season ahead and the seeding and growing to come. Every year it amazes us how fast winter flys by. Granted, our winter feels shorter than say, the average population. What I mean to say is that we are in the greenhouses, feeling the warmth of the sun and getting our hands dirty. The snow may not be gone, but to us, it’s spring!
We already have a wide variety of seeds…come get your juices flowing!
