Christmas Trees

Whether it’s a white pine, balsam fir, frazer fir, or just something that will give your whole living room that wonderful fragrance of Christmas, we have it!  Come in and choose from our wide variety of trees, we’ll give it a fresh cut and help it into your vehicle!  Check your tree daily to ensure you give it enough to drink, especially in the first week, and you will enjoy your tree right through the New Year!

Tipsy Steamer

A rich, bold experiment in taste, the Tipsy Steamer combines striking flavours or Kahlua, Amaretto, Irish Cream and Butter Rum in a velvety foam (now, isn’t that poetic). The Tipsy is a great way to avoid caffeine at the end of the day, but makes a great companion to a good book or good conversation. The staff at the Oakridge cafe would be happy to whip you up a Tipsy.

Christmas workshops

Our Christmas workshops are in full swing. Tonight we had a wreath making class that produced some amazing and original creations. A few may have been more oval than round in shape, but hey —-who says that’s not a good thing. We had great fun in any case.

Mulch

As wonderful as we all feel about  this fantastic fall weather, I am worried our trees, shrubs and perennials will pay the price this winter.  Our plants can’t seem to figure out what to do with themselves – keep growing or shut down for the winter.

What this means is that a lot of plants are not really dormant and the more tender ones need a bit of winter protection.  Solution is: layer 6-12″ of mulch (leaves, flax straw or peat moss) around the base of the plant in the morning after a night with below zero temperatures!

Come on in!

Come enjoy a  hot latte and a scrumptious dessert!  The choices are endless…made to order exactly how you want it!
