Born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised primarily on the Manitoban prairies, Kathy Kennedy has been a professional vocalist for over 2 decades.  Her soulful powerhouse vocals and strong stage presence confidently display her experience.  Kathy has sung the blues for the past 15 years and developed her love for the genre at the King Eddie Hotel in Calgary, upon listening to an unnamed American blues artist.  She is not only a singer/songwriter, she is the creator, founder and promoter of “Women in Blues Manitoba”, and the manger and booking agent for her own band.  Kathy is also a contributor to the “Save the Windsor” campaign, which was founded upon the rumour of the demolition of WInnipeg’s Home of the Blues.
